Caroline Teasley, Loving Mother, Sister, and Grandma

Olean – Caroline M. Abbott Teasley, of Olean, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Buffalo General Hospital after a short illness, with her loving family by her side.

Caroline was born on November 18, 1965, in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Bernard and Corinne Hebert Ahearn. On March 4, 2010, in Louisville, KY, she married Charles Teasley, who survives.

She graduated from Olean High School in 1983 and later earned her Registered Nursing degree from Jamestown Community College in 1995. She worked as a Psychiatric Nurse in Olean and Buffalo, NY and Louisville, KY, where her compassion and heart for helping others touched countless lives.

Caroline had a gift for making others feel special. She loved surprising family and friends with thoughtful gifts. She delighted in celebrating the holidays, when her generous spirit truly shined, and always made sure everyone felt included and loved.

Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, she adored all seven.  Cheering on their accomplishments and celebrating them. She was endlessly proud of them and loved to brag about each one. Caroline also enjoyed walking her dog, Lucy, and finding joy in the little things, whether it was a new thrift shop find, snuggling up watching movies or a day trip with family.

Caroline is survived by two children, Margaret (Joseph) Tingley and Samantha (Cody) Giberson; her beloved grandchildren, Owen, Evan, Anna, Elena, and Ava Tingley, Olivia and Ian Giberson; her siblings, Kelly Paoletto of Pierre Part, LA, John Ahearn of Olean, Christine Ahearn of Allegany, and Elizabeth (Sean) Brooking of Salem, MA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Corinne, and a sister, Coleen Ahearn Brophy, on November 22, 2009.

A Celebration of Caroline’s life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean. Online condolences may be expressed at www.guentherfh.com
