July 20, 1934 ~ June 19, 2025

Andrew J. Kosinski of Winter Springs, FL, passed from this life on June 19, 2025.

Andrew was born on July 20, 1934, in Olean, NY, to Andrew and Anna (Grega) Kosinski. Andrew was raised in North Olean with his sister Margaret and countless cousins. His fondest memories were outside fishing with his dad, berry picking for his mom, and exploring the countryside with his friends. He graduated from Olean High School in 1952.

After graduation, he went to work at Clark Bros., where they offered him a place in their first co-op program. He alternated working with Clark’s and pursuing his degree in Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech. While at Georgia Tech, he participated in their ROTC program and graduated with his bachelor’s degree in 1958. He then went to work at Westinghouse outside Philadelphia, PA.

At Clark Bros., Andrew met Margaret (Peggy) Waldeck, and they were married on June 17, 1961, in Olean, NY. They raised their family in Wallingford, PA, after the birth of Michael in 1963 and Anne in 1964. Andrew enjoyed fishing in northern Ontario with his family, coaching Little League, and taking his kids to the Phillies games. In 1987, his company moved him to Florida, where he retired after working many years in the gas turbine division.

Andrew and Peggy enjoyed traveling together. They had multiple trips to Europe, exploring every country, as well as a cruise around South America. After retirement, Andrew took up golfing, puttering around the house, and cooking. He approached each as only an engineer could.

He is survived by his son, Michael J. Kosinski (Lori), grandchildren John and Andrew Kosinski and daughter Anne (J.) Mixer, grandchildren Katelyn and Ian (Haley) Mixer, one great grandchild, Reagan Mixer, and many nieces and nephews.

Andrew was preceded in death by his parents (Andrew and Anna Kosinski), his wife (Margaret Kosinski) in 2008, and his sister (Margaret Conkle) in 1994.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at St. Bonaventure Church, 95 E Main St in Allegany, NY. Mass will begin at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at St. Bonaventure Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State St, Olean.
