ELLICOTTVILLE — Master Gardener volunteers at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cattaraugus County are ready to help residents with gardening questions, identification and other plant issues.

The Master Gardener volunteers will answer questions on the Help Line by telephone, e-mail or walk-in on Tuesdays from noon to 2 p.m. during the growing season.

The Help Line phone number is (716) 699-2377 ext. 127, and the email address is cattaraugusmg@cornell.edu. You may also walk in with a question at the Cooperative Extension offices in the Ellicottville Town Center on parkside Drive.

The Master Gardener volunteers will review your question and set you in the right direction with advice or resources.

They also offer soil sample testing (there is a fee for some testing services), consider bringing in your soil samples for testing. The pH testing is free for Cattaraugus gardeners.

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cattaraugus County is a resource for information on soils, site improvement, plant selection, proper plant care, eco-friendly practices, integrated pest management, composting and more.

Master Gardeners also offer free and low-cost gardening classes and learning opportunities all year long. They welcome new volunteers. Call or stop by during helpline hours.
