OLEAN, NY – After falling behind early, a nine-run fifth frame boosted the Olean baseball team to a 11-5 win over Fredonia, earning the Huskies’ sixth win of the season.
Early on the game between the Huskies and Hillbillies was neck and neck, however, Fredonia pulled away with two runs in the second and fourth. Although they weren’t able to retaliate in the fourth, Olean shut out the Hillbillies in the fifth before bouncing back with nine scores, a lead that proved too big to overcome.
Tallying a home run in the win, Austin Miles finished 2-for-4 with two runs scored and three more batted in. Chase Vogtli also finished 2-for-4, scoring twice while Grady Smucinski (1-for-3) also contributed a pair of runs. Landon Johnson (1-for-3), Ethan Woodring (1-for-4), Dom Myers (1-for-4) and Alex Jones (1-for-3) all rounded home plate in the win as well.
Olean (5-6) will see the Hillbillies again on Wednesday as they settle into the final five-game stretch of their season.

Corey Holleran ended a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate, scoring once while K Coustenis ended 2-for-3 with one run scored and one more batted in.

ST. MARYS, PA – Being swept in the season series, the Lady Owls lost to the Lady Dutch in a five-inning blowout.
Although St. Marys began pulling away early, it was still a humble beginning as they notched three runs through the first three frames. However, in the fourth, they would pull away for good as they brought 11 runners across home plate.
Jackie Sipko would notch the Lady Owls’ lone run of the day, finishing 1-for-1.
Bradford (8-6) has just two more games left in the regular season, coming back home to face Brookville on Tuesday before heading back out on the road for the season closer against Warren on Thursday.

NEW BETHLEHEM, PA – After three scoreless innings, the Lady Terrors watched as Redbank quickly pulled away with five runs in three frames, producing O-E’s second loss of the year and first shutout.
Ayla Van Scoter (2-for-2), Riley McDivitt (2-for-3) and Baylee Francis (2-for-3) each nabbed a pair of hits during the loss while Holly McDivitt (1-for-3) tallied one.
The Lady Terrors fall to 16-2 on the season with two more games left on their schedule. On Tuesday, they will travel to Bolivar-Richburg for a game under the lights at 7 p.m. before ending their season at home against Johnsonburg on Wednesday.

SALAMANCA, NY – A hot start for the Huskies produced their seventh win of the season as they allowed just one Salamanca hit through five innings.
Ava Finch was perfect at the plate, finding three hits in three appearances that produced three runs scored and two more batted in. Emma Edwards, who also struck out seven, finished 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI while Riley Sudbrook (2-for-4) and Amelia Jones (2-for-3) combined for three runs and three RBIs.
Salamanca’s lone hit of the contest came from Jaelynee Brown, who ended 1-for-2.
