Joseph E. Stechenfinger, 44, of Salamanca, NY died Thursday, April 17, 2025 unexpectedly at home.

Born May 25, 1980 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Robert L.and Judy Colin Stechenfinger.

He attended Salamanca High School.

Joe had been employed at McHone Industries, Salamanca, NY for almost ten years.

He enjoyed spending time at home with his family.

Surviving are: a son, Connor Vizenor; a daughter, Hannah Stechenfinger; a grandson, Bentley Georgianni; a sister, Catherine (David Jimerson) Colin; a brother, Robert Stechenfinger Jr., all of Salamanca, NY; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Stechenfinger and his stepfather, John “Whitey” Foster.

There will be no visitation.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 2p.m. at 24 Pine Street, Salamanca, NY.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to EARS, PO Box 445, Salamanca, NY.
