The Olean Star is a local news service dedicated to bringing you news that matters to you in real time.

Not that long ago, Olean and communities like it had newspapers that provided local news daily. Today most people get their news from social media or television stations that are more cheerleaders for their team than Walter Cronkite or Ben Bradlee.
