Great Valley – Rose A. Bolles, 88, formerly of Great Valley, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. She was born on December 20, 1936 in Yonkers, NY, daughter of the late Roy and Marian (Bzdak) Arena.
She was married to the late Donald C. Bolles, who predeceased her on January 22, 2023, whom she proudly helped operate their family farm in Great Valley for many years. Rose loved her family, and especially being a mother. She had been a volunteer for the area Girl Scout troop, and was a member of the St. Pacificus RC Church in Humphrey for many years.
Mrs. Bolles is survived by three daughters; Cheryl (Kevin) Gray of Dansville, Laurie (Christopher) Tracey of Jamestown, and Tamara (Ronald) Anderson of North Ogden, UT, as well as a brother-in-law, Stephen (Marian) Bolles of Allegany. She is also survived by four grandchildren; David (Stephany Anderson) Tracey, Megan Tracey, Cameron (Courtney) Anderson, and Aaron Anderson, as well as two great-grandchildren; Max Anderson and Marley Anderson, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Rose is predeceased by two brothers; Roy and Vincent Arena.
The family of Rose is grateful for the love and kindness that their mother received during her two years at Morgan Estates Senior Living in Geneseo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Noyes Memorial Hospital or Morgan Estates Senior Living in Geneseo.
Friends may call on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 1-3 pm from Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St. in Little Valley.
Funeral services will be held immediately following at 3 pm from the funeral home.
Burial will be in Willoughby Cemetery in Great Valley.
